Content: This 6-day training will offer you the experiëntial and conceptual bases of ACT. You will learn as a person and as a therapist. This will help you to make professional choices about what to do and when to do it, using ACT interventions. Practising exercises, practising roleplay and practising making choices are all core parts of the workshop. After completing the course, you will have experienced and worked with all core components of ACT. You will leave with a deep known sense of what ACT is about and how you can apply ACT in your own practice.
Programme: Days 1 and 2: Introduction to process-based ACT, experiëntial. Days 3, 4, 5 and 6: How to deliver ACT as a therapist.
Language: The course will be taught in English. Translation to Dutch is available throughout.
Date and Time: July 24, 25 and 31 and August 7, 14 and 21, each day from 9-16h.
Target audience: This training is targeted health care professionals at beginners and intermediate level, although we think that participants with already a thourough training in ACT would stil benefit from this course.
Studyload: 36h (the workshop itself) plus 24h (reading and practice)
Study material: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: An experiential approach to behavior change (2004) by Hayes, Strosahl & Wilson.
